John
Wehren
is a man of many talents. He received his degree in art from Colorado University. His resume includes cartooning for Stan Lynde, luthier work for Kirk Music,  backup guitarist for Buck Owens, Tanya Tucker, Tom T. Hall and many others, and performing at the Grand Ole Opry. John was also inducted into the Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame.

John also writes songs, poetry, and novels. His poetry has been published in Montana Magazine, and Black Powder Magazine published one of his short stories. Carbon County News serialized his first novel titled "Ole Jody." John is currently working on his second novel in "The Last Piskun" trilogy when he takes a break from his painting and luthier work.

John's recent paintings are alive with action, fluidity, simplicity, and grace and his artwork reveals a lyrical quality, underscoring the influence of music in his life.
